Country House Refurbishment in Duns
Torridon were engaged as Cost Consultant to manage this complex refurbishment and conservation project for a country house and estate in the borders of Scotland.
The project comprised a full strip out of existing interior fixtures, fittings, electrical and plumbing, as well as reconfiguration of the spaces to make the house more suited to the needs of the client. This included the addition of a lift, an extension link containing a fully fitted gym and new bespoke joinery throughout. As part of this significant refurbishment, the windows were replaced, and significant stonework, roof and internal plaster repairs were undertaken to bring the home back to its original condition.
